The Responder Knowledge Base (RKB) is a national information resource for emergency responders, sponsored by the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) and funded by the DHS Office of Grants and Training, Preparedness Directorate (G&T). The RKB Mission is to provide Emergency Responders, purchasers, and planners with a trusted, integrated, on-line source of information on products, standards, certifications, grants, and other equipment-related information. The Responder Knowledge Base also includes links to the corresponding InterAgency Board for Equipment Standardization and Interoperability (IAB) Select Equipment List (SEL) and the DHS Office of Grants and Training (G&T), Authorized Equipment List (AEL).
